Ahmed Omer

Ahmed is an experienced B2B marketing leader and diversity, equity and inclusion champion. In his current role as Marketing Director at Spin, the leading social media agency, Ahmed leads the strategic marketing efforts of the business to support its growth goals. Before his tenure at Spin, Ahmed worked at IPG Mediabrand's performance agency, Reprise, as Group Marketing Director and formed a key member of their ethnic and religious diversity ERG, Heritage. Prior to this, Ahmed worked at GroupM, as its Head of Marketing where he also chaired the GroupM Roots network, which champions and drives equity and inclusion for ethnic, religious and cultural minorities. Ahmed is a passionate mentor, evident through his active involvement and longstanding dedication to organisations such as MEFA and Bloom, where he has played the role of mentor for several years. In 2021 Ahmed was named an Empower Ethnic Minority Future Leader, which celebrates inspirational people of color who are making a significant contribution to inclusion for ethnically diverse individuals within business.
