Christmas is normally a time we all look forward to, but 2022 was different. As the cost-of-living crisis dominated headlines and headspace, most families were feeling anxious about the festive period. And so to bring Christmas cheer, Vodafone created Elf and Seek, an Augmented-reality game that encouraged families to find Santa’s lost Elves. From radio takeovers and celebrity pleas to turning our advertising and social content into clues, Vodafone created a new Christmas ritual that attracted active 250k players.
